The Badge, the Featured Slot, and how an agency earns them
LumpList is a free, open record of lumping agencies. It is built by the same shop as LumpLogix, the operations software many of those agencies run on, and it says so plainly. Two marks on this site belong to LumpLogix customers. This page explains what they are, what they are not, and how to get them.
The mark
The Powered-by-LumpLogix Badge
The Badge is a small chip on an agency's listing page and on its ledger rows in search results. It reads Runs on LumpLogix and carries the LumpLogix mark.
It means one thing: the agency is a verified, current LumpLogix customer. Its crews are scheduled, its doors boarded, and its lumper fees captured in the same system, so a facility operator reading the Badge knows the agency runs a modern operation and can report on it.
The Badge is granted by the LumpList desk by hand, after the customer relationship is confirmed, and by no other route. It cannot be bought separately, claimed, or self-declared. Agencies that stop running on LumpLogix lose it.
The placement
The Featured Slot
On search, metro, and state pages, one Badge holder may appear in a single cyan-ruled row above the organic results, labeled Featured · Runs on LumpLogix. The label is always there. A searcher is never left to guess why a row sits at the top.
The slot is only offered to an agency that genuinely matches the search: it must declare the searched metro or state in its Service Area and it must offer every Lumper Service and Engagement Model the searcher asked for. Agencies covering the metro directly are picked ahead of statewide and nationwide coverage. When no Badge holder fits, the slot is simply empty.
The featured agency also stays in the organic list, at whatever position it earned on its own. Nothing is displaced.
The rule
Organic rank is never for sale
Below the Featured Slot, every result is ranked by two things and two things only: how directly the agency's Service Area covers the place named in the search, and how complete its listing is. Being a LumpLogix customer, being claimed, or paying anyone anything has no effect on that order. This is a recorded design decision, and the search code is tested to prove it holds.
We do it this way because a directory that reads as rigged loses the searchers who make a listing worth having. A labeled slot is a fair advertisement; a quiet boost is not.
